How to set backup directories on Home Server Add-in?

It has been several weeks ago since we’ve got the first feedback from our Home Server Add-in users shared their most wanted function to the client – Backup directory setting. So we’ve heard!

Setting backup directories

To convenience our user in setting own backup directory rules we’ve added this function.
Like the way to check backup folders, first to Disable the service then add directory that you wish to backed up.

Backup progress feedback

Moreover in order to give more status feedback to you during the backup each time backup, you may be able to find backup progress below the progress bar.

    • Hi Dear,

We are sorry for being unsupportive in your language. So would you please comment again in English? We are really sorry for your inconvenience.

      Sincerely,
      ASUS WebStorage

  2. It doesn’t seem to backup any sub-folders under the folder selected for backup. For example, I have my videos separated into several folders under my Videos share of WHS; when I check the box for Videos in the Add-in, it says “No files to backup”. But if I manually specify those subfolders, they will backup. Is this a bug or ‘as intended’, or am I doing something wrong?

  3. I’m a bit confused.
I’m interested on you service for WHS but i want to confirm that i can backup specific folder inside the share and not the whole share.

for example, on the default USERS share of WHS i want ONLY the folder “vassilis” backup from inside the SHARE.

    Is this possible?
    thanks.

  4. Hi Dears,

The current spec of Home Server only supports the sub-folder of the first layer in Share Folder.

    Sincerely,
    ASUS WebStorage
